New Louis Vuitton 2011 City Guides Collection

Louis Vuitton has just released its much awaited 2011 edition of city guides and a collection of beautiful fluorescent postcards created by artist Ruben Toledo. Nearly 100 cities are covered in LV’s guides and new to the mix are Berlin, Kyoto and Nara alongside London, Los Angeles, Paris, Rome, New York and Tokyo. In addition to guide books, corresponding videos bring the experience to life on the screen for each city.

Louis Vuitton has created a special bag for Edun (ethically made products founded by Ali Hewson and Bono) which will be sold to help the Conservation Cotton Initiative.This distinct bag is embossed revealing the LV monogram and pattern with 13 handcrafted ebony and bone spikes. These charms are produced in co-operation with Made, a fair trade brand of jewellery and accessories expertly finished by craftspeople in Kenya, essentially making this bag charm Louis Vuitton’s very first “made in Africa” product. The limited edition Keepall 45 travel duffel is priced at $4,900USD.

The company produced the one-off creations using Vuitton’s famed monogram canvas for a fashionable audiophile. Leon can custom make all components to meet a client’s whims and match the decor of a room or a favorite collection, using including exclusive wood finishes, metal and leather. The company has made speakers to match a customer’s collection of classic cars and others to go with a collection of modern art. The speakers are designed to sound as good as they look with top-end acoustic engineering.

New Louis Vuitton Monogram Service Now Available

For some time it has been possible to personalize a Louis Vuitton bag at a number of flagship stores around the world. Now the service is truly global as it is available to all on their web-site. 

There are three classic LV bags available for the online service: the Keepall, the Pegase and the Speedy. After choosing the bag and its size there are 17 different colors available for the diagonal or vertical stripes that will adorn your bag. You also have the option to put up to three initials on the bag with or without a “point” between the letters. There are cute features that let you reverse the colors, rotate your bag to view the monogram from all sides, and save your creation to finalize your selection later. If you decide that you must have an entire monogrammed set just push a button and your chosen monogram will be applied to other bags. If you’d like something more complicated, like your family crest, painted on your luggage you’ll have to go to a Louis Vuitton store and discuss it with a sales associate in person.
